Amidst all the chaos, I forgot to remind readers about the premiere of season 3 of the incomparable Dexter. (Here are all my previous posts on the show). If you like drama infused with philosophy, psychology, and (of course) economics, you must watch. The latest episode takes us into promising new territory – Dexter crosses his own line in a stressful situation, and starts trying to put the pieces together. If I know this show, the pieces are going to be crumbling faster than Dexter can put them back together. The result will be… genius.

Thank you Thank you Thank you for turning me on to this show. I was able to purchase the first 2 seasons for $10 at a local merchant while I was deployed to Iraq and ended up hooking half my unit on the show.

Yup, all the players in my (contemporary supernatural/mystery) RPG love Dexter.
IMO he is obviously a Euthanatos who is going through his Awakening, but I don’t want to devalue his uniqueness.
The fact that the show is set in South Florida, like my game, makes it even more delicious.

I also owe you thanks for turning me on to Dexter. But, economics? I’ve missed this. Can you give a few examples of economics in Dexter?

I was also wondering about this. I’ve seen season one and two but don’t remember any economics.

I don’t think there’s any specific mention of economics in the series, rather, as Caplan’s linked posts indicate, he’s interested in the implications of Dexter for economics.
