This fall in Harvard’s introductory class, I think Greg Mankiw should have his students watch The Call of the Entrepreneur. One of the segments is a clear explanation given by a Wall Street lawyer of the value added by financial intermediaries. The entire video is very well done. And we clearly need to do a better job of explaining our economic system to students.
I wish that every high school student in America would see this video a couple of times.
