Constanza Mazzina holds a PhD in Political Science (UCA). She completed her postdoctoral studies in Latin American Politics at IBEI (Barcelona, ​​Spain) and has a Master’s degree in Economics and Political Science (ESEADE).

Constanza has extensive experience teaching at the undergraduate (UADE, UBA) and postgraduate levels (both master’s and doctoral at UB and ESEADE). She is a regular columnist in Argentine and international media and has published numerous articles and book chapters on her areas of expertise: democracy, democratic backsliding, autocratization, liberalism, and Latin American politics.

She won first place in the Caminos de la Libertad 2022 Essay Contest. She is a Senior Fellow at CESCOS and is part of the Academic Council of Libertad y Progreso.

With the support of the International Republican Institute (IRI), she led the podcast Before It’s Too Late, to warn about the illiberal advance of China and Russia in Latin America.

She currently serves as Director of the Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Director of the Postgraduate Program in Institutional Economics and Political Science, and Director of the Postgraduate Program in Austrian Economics.
