From the latest issue of the Journal of Economic Perspectives, I recommend The Rise of Middle Kingdoms by Gordon H. Hanson.
Whereas high-income economies accounted for four-fifths of global trade in 1985, they will account for less than half by the middle of this decade.
The entire article is interesting.

Couldn’t you write a brief analysis of the paper, perhaps citing more than a single sentence? Maybe you could even add some of your own criticisms or insights rather than just saying it is “interesting.”
