Tomorrow, Friday, March 25, I’ll be giving at a talk at California State University, Monterey Bay, titled “The Cost of War.”
It goes from 10:00 to noon and is open to the public. Here’s the announcement and here are the directions to get there. It’s sponsored by OLLI, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.

Thanks, John. I’ll be making it available in pieces. Part of it is drawn from articles I’ve done on antiwar.com and part is what I’ll present at the APEE meetings in Nassau. I’m also drawing from a chapter that I, unwisely in retrospect, didn’t put in my The Joy of Freedom: An Economist’s Odyssey. In that book, that was put to bed in the spring of 2011 and came out about a week after 9/11, I speculated that the U.S. would be subject to a terrorist attack because of the U.S. government’s interference in the Middle East.
